Health and Safety

 

It is the policy of Mr Chipps to strive for zero harm to people, the environment and the community.

To achieve this, we will ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that all employees, suppliers, subcontractors, visitors and the public are safe from injury and risks to health while at our work sites. Mr Chipps ensures that work practices and procedures adopted throughout the company comply with the Acts and Regulations governing Occupational Health, Safety & Welfare.

All persons are expected to take all practical measures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment in keeping with the responsibilities as outlined in the Safety Plan, Safety Manual and all relevant Acts, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice.

Mr Chipps has safety systems in place to ensure the proper management of hazards. It is the duty of all personnel to identify any workplace hazards and report or eliminate the hazard.

Reporting procedures are in place to enable elimination of the hazard or to take steps to control the risk through suitable management techniques. Mr Chipps is committed to a process of continuous improvement in its Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare by monitoring, reporting and evaluating its performance and practices to ensure there is a decrease in safety accidents and incidents throughout the company recorded each year.
